Friend to Friend

This card was my trade at the regional demo meeting in Janesville last weekend. I was going for a card with a fall feel...

I stamped the flowers from Pocket Silhouettes in Riding Hood Red and used my Chocolate Chip marker to color just the tips of a few of the flowers. I liked the dimension this gave to the image. I made the image into a cameo by using the new large oval punch, layered it onto a Blush Blossom panel and then a Riding Hood Red panel. I added the sentiment, which was stamped in Chocolate Chip ink on Riding Hood Red cardstock and punched out with the Word Window punch.

For my card, I stamped the Stitched background onto Kraft cardstock with Chocolate Chip ink and layered that piece onto a piece of Chocolate Chip cardstock. After adding a piece of Riding Hood Red taffeta ribbon, I placed my flower image in the lower right corner of the card.

Stamps: Pocket Silhouettes, Stitched
Paper: Chocolate Chip, Kraft, Riding Hood Red, Blush Blossom, Whisper White
Ink: Riding Hood Red, Chocolate Chip
Accessories: Large oval punch, corner rounder punch, paper piercing mat, template and awl
