Crazy for Cupcakes

Rain, rain, stay and play! I really want to stamp today... :) It's raining here, and (miracle of miracles) both kids are napping. Perfect stamping conditions! I was able to get a few things made today for a workshop I have next weekend, so I'll be sharing those soon. But today, some cute birthday cupcakes. I made this card at a shoebox swap and my upline presented it - it's so sweet! (No pun intended...)

Pretty straightforward stamping here. I stamped the cupcakes in Basic Brown ink and colored with Pretty in Pink, Creamy Caramel and Close to Cocoa markers. I colored the cherries using a blender pen and the ink from the lid of my Riding Hood Red ink pad. I also added a little glue from my glue pen and added a some sparkle with Dazzling Diamonds glitter. The cupcakes are layered onto a panel of Chocolate Chip cs.

The card is made from Kraft cs, with about 1 1/2" cut from the bottom. I used the Scallop Edge Punch on the bottom edge and adhered some Riding Hood Red designer paper to the inside of the card. I stamped the sentiment near the bottom edge, to the left. To place the cupcakes on the card, I put adhesive on only the top 1/2 of the Chocolate Chip panel and placed it on the card. The finishing touch is some double stitched Chocolate Chip ribbon. Don't you want to gobble them up?
