Merry Christmas to You

This is a card I designed that, at first, I wasn't crazy about, but it has really grown on me. I love this color combination, and I think the embossing is really lovely, especially for a Christmas card.

I stamped the large swirl from the Baroque Motif stamp set with Versamark ink and embossed it with white embossing powder, which ended up looking more cream than white. I did the same with the sentiment, from the Best Yet hostess set. Next, I randomly stamped the small flower image with Bravo Burgundy ink around the embossed swirl.

To make the medallion, I stamped the large flower in Bravo Burgundy ink on a square piece of Very Vanilla cardstock and added a half pearl from the Pretties Kit. I used the Ticket Corner punch to notch the corners and layered it on to a square of Always Artichoke cardstock. I wrapped a piece of Always Artichoke grosgrain ribbon around the card front, and taped the ends down where the medallion would cover them when placed over the top. I secured the medallion over the ribbon ends with Dimensionals and made a small bow from the ribbon, which I placed on the card using a mini glue dot.

Stamps: Baroque Motif, Best Yet
Paper: Bravo Burgundy, Always Artichoke, Very Vanilla
Ink: Bravo Burgundy, Versamark
