Very Vintage Matchbox

Here's a quick little treat made with the Matchbox die. I used the Very Vintage wheel and Tiny Tags stamp set to dress it up.

I filled the box with some nummies, covered with Tea Party dsp. Love, love, love this paper - I only have a few scraps left, and I plan to use every last one.

That's all for today - stop back soon!

Vintage Vogue Mother's Day

It's spring break this week for us and I'm really looking forward to having my kiddos at home with me. We have lots of fun things planned, and the weather looks like it just might cooperate! Plus we'll have some special guests coming to stay with us for a few nights and the kids are super excited to see their cousin, Veronica.

Today's card is another project in my Vintage Vogue series. I created this card for a friend's stamp-a-stack and I liked it so much, I decided I would make some up for the Milwaukee Regional. I'm not sure how many I'll get done, as these tend to be a bit more time consuming to make, but I'm hoping to make a few at least. Anway, on to the card!

This is a lovely, spring color combination - Rich Razzleberry, Pale Plum and Mellow Moss. To make my flowers look slightly more "life-life", once I had the flowers cut out, I pulled them over my bone folder, curling the cardstock.

That's all for today. See you back here tomorrow!

Paper: Rich Razzleberry, Pale Plum, Whisper white
Ink: Rich Razzleberry, Pale Plum, Mellow Moss

Vintage Vogue Tea Bag Holder

Happy Friday! As promised, here is another project made with the Vintage Vogue stamp set. I created this tea bag holder, which would make a perfect gift for a friend who's under the weather or in need of a little pick me up.

Don't you just LOVE this color combination - Certainly Celery, Melon Mambo and Bermuda Bay. It's so bright and happy, plus the tea bag matches the color scheme! :) Here's a view of the inside of the holder:

I'm planning to make up a batch of these to trade at the Milwaukee Regional. If you are planning on going, let me know. :) Just in case you want to make one of your own, here are the dimensions: start with a 3 1/2" x 10 1/2" piece of cardstock. Score at 3 1/2" and 7". Cut the far right panel at a diagonal, fold so that it makes a pocket over the middle panel. Secure the pocket with a piece of Sticky Strip along the bottom of the pocket. That's all for today - have a great weekend!

Stamps: Vintage Vogue
Paper: Bermuda Bay, Certainly Celery, Melon Mambo, Whisper White
Ink: Bermuda Bay, Certainly Celery, Melon Mambo
Accessories: 3/4" circle punch, Certainly Celery grosgrain ribbon, Sticky Strip

Vintage Vogue Diorama

Over the next several days, I'll be sharing lots of projects made with the Vintage Vogue stamp set, currently available in the Occasions Mini catalog. I received this set at the Phoenix Regional, which I attended just after Leadership, and I have to admit that it is not my usual "style." I have really fallen in love with the images and have found myself using it over and over again! Today's project is a diorama card, and you can find a wonderful tutorial for this type of project on Splitcoast. These are actually pretty easy to put together and can fold flat for mailing.

We made this card at a recent class I put together for some friends. I love how you can see all of the layers as you peek through the front window. Here's view from the top, so you can get a better idea of how it's put together:

I'm so glad that I have had all of the projects ready to go, as I seem to have caught my spring cold. My kids have been so nice to share their little germies with me! :) I'm hoping I can rest up some more today and feel more like myself soon. I'll be back tomorrow with another Vintage Vogue project for you - 'bye for now!

Stamps: Vintage Vogue
Paper: Perfect Plum, Mellow Moss, Naturals Ivory
Ink: Basic Black, Perfect Plum, Pale Plum, Mellow Moss
Accessories: 1 1/4" circle punch, 1 3/8" circle punch, Pretties Kit

Happy Moments Masculine Birthday Card

Well, I had every intention of getting this card posted yesterday, but it just didn't happen. I had the picture ready to go and everything, I just didn't even have 5 minutes to sit at the computer all day. Pretty sad, huh? But, I'm back in action today, sharing this fun and easy birthday card for the man in your life. We made this card at a recent stamp-a-stack I did for my good friend Susie. Everyone loved this color combination - Bashful Blue, Night of Navy, and Pumpkin Pie.

This card uses the Happy Moments Sale-A-Bration set (available until the end of this month). I jazzed up the presents by adding a bit of paper piecing. Here you can see how I layered the pieces:

That's all for today! See you back here tomorrow with another project to share.

Stamps: Happy Moments
Paper: Bashful Blue, Night of Navy, Whisper White, Sweet Pea dsp

Fox & Friends Mini Clipboards

Happy Monday! The taxes are done and I'm here to share a new project with you. We made these adorable mini clipboards at a Mom & Me class yesterday. We used the Fox & Friends set from the Occasions Mini Catalog, along with some coordinating Sweet Pea designer paper - too cute!

The mini clipboards are made with coasters, 3"x5" note cards which have been trimmed in half, and a binder clip. These are quick and easy little favors to make with your little ones. I have supplies left over to make some more, so I will probably be trading these at the SU! Milwaukee Regional in April. Have a great day! I'll be back tomorrow with a card to share - see you then!

Ink: Old Olive, Chocolate Chip, Pumpkin Pie

Circle Circus Birthday

I hope your week is going well - sorry things have been kind of quiet here, but I promised my hubby I'd get my taxes done this week. I've told myself no new stamping until I get my numbers together. Sigh... I HATE taxes! Anyway, here's another card from this month's stamp-a-stack. I case'd this layout from a card by Kim Lampone, but I changed up the colors and added the ribbon. I made up two samples, with different color combinations.

Super quick and easy - my favorite kind of card to make!
Stamps: Circle Circus, Well Scripted
Paper: Cameo Coral, Very Vanilla, Whisper White
Ink: Cameo Coral, Close to Cocoa, Blush Blossom, So Saffron, Rose Red, Real Red, Tempting Turquoise, Summer Sun

Little Birdie Thinking of You

I have a couple of minutes before I'm off to pick my daughter up from preschool, so I thought I'd share another card from Saturday's stamp-a-stack.

This is a pretty quick card to put together, thanks to Extra Large Two Step Bird punch from the Occasions Mini Catalog. I also used one of those cute lil' Kisses Love Notes along with some designer paper from the Sweet Pea paper pack. This makes a lovely "thinking of you" or "get well wishes" card to send to someone in need of some encouragement. The finished card measures 3" x 6".

Stamps: Teeny Tiny Wishes
Paper: Kraft, Bashful Blue, So Saffron, Always Artichoke, Sweet Pea paper pack
Ink: Soft Suede
Accessories: Extra Large Two Step Bird punch, Kisses Love Notes, Bashful Blue taffeta ribbon, Mat Pack, Paper-Piercing Tool

Hello there, neighbor!

Today I have another card to share from my last stamp-a-stack. This card uses two SAB items - Good Neighbors stamp set and Welcome Neighbor designer series paper pad. I hadn't used this set yet, and felt like I needed to fit it into at least one workshop or class before the end of Sale-a-Bration.

I used a sentiment from Cheep Talk - it fits just perfectly around the 1 3/4" circle punch. I pulled the colors from the designer paper I chose for this card, which always makes me sing "Little boxes on the hillside, little boxes made of ticky-tacky..." Anyone else have that problem? LOL! Here's my trick for getting all of those images lined up just right on the circle: I stamped the house first, punched out the circle, and then stamped the tree and clouds. Such a bright, happy card! See you back here soon with another project to share - 'bye for now!

Stamps: Good Neighbors, Cheep Talk
Paper: Melon Mambo, Crushed Curry, Old Olive, Whisper White, Welcome Neighbor dsp
Ink: Melon Mambo, Crushed Curry, Old Olive, Basic Black
Accessories: Pinking Hearts border punch, Melon Mambo polka-dot grosgrain ribbon, 1 3/4" circle punch

Lots of Presents!

Happy Tuesday! Today's card is from this month's stamp-a-stack, using the Happy Moments Sale-a-Bration set. I wanted to create a masculine card since most of my other cards were on the "girly" side. I love these colors together for manly cards - Bermuda Bay, Old Olive and Soft Suede.

I used my Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder on just half of the card front, and added a piece of designer paper from the Welcome Neighbor dsp paper pad (also a Sale-A-Bration item). I colored the presents with my Bermuda Bay, Old Olive and Soft Suede markers and added some Crystal Effects to give the presents some shine. A special card for someone's special day!

Thanks for stopping by today - I'll be back tomorrow with another card to share. See you then!

Stamps: Happy Moments
Paper: Bermuda Bay, Soft Suede, Whisper White, Welcome Neighbor dsp pad
Ink: Basic Brown, Bermuda Bay, Old Olive, Soft Suede
Accessories: Big Shot, Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder, Crystal Effects, Old Olive grosgrain ribbon

Wagon Full of Love

Here's a cute lil' card to brighten up your Friday morning. I actually started this card more than a month ago and just got around to finishing it the other day. I love that little turtle - he just makes me smile. :)

Nothing too complicated about this card - just a little coloring with my Aqua Painter and some fringe for the grass. I added the sentiment and corduroy button to pull the card together. Love those corduroy buttons! They add such awesome texture to the card... I stocked up on them the last time SU! ran a special, so I have a drawer full of the suckers. Now I have to force myself to use them (my tendency to hoard is working in overdrive).

Hope you day is fabulous! I'm slaving away on my stamp-a-stack cards - Saturday is coming awfully fast. See you soon!

Stamps: Very Thankful, Whimsical Words
Paper: Chocolate Chip, Old Olive, Whisper White, Sweet Pea dsp
Ink: Black Staz-On, Old Olive, Rose Red, Pumpkin Pie, Chocolate Chip
Accessories: Aqua Painter, Chocolate Chip satin ribbon, 1 3/8" circle punch, Scallop punch, Chocolate Chip corduroy button, hemp twine

Kind Thoughts Stenciled Thank You

Today's project is another clean and simple card for this week's challenge: create a square card. I pulled out my sadly neglected Kind Thoughts Brocade stencil to make the stippled background on this card.

To create the stencilled image, I used Creamy Caramel, Close to Cocoa, and Chocolate Chip inks. I also highlighted several areas with my Encore Gold Pigment Ink. I finished the card off with some Kraft taffeta ribbon and the framed sentiment, using my For All You Do and Framed With Love sets. I like the elegant, vintage feel of the finished card.

That's all for today - have a great day!

Stamps: Framed With Love, For All You Do
Paper: Kraft, Chocolate Chip, Whisper White
Ink: Creamy Caramel, Close to Cocoa, Chocolate Chip, Encore Gold Pigment Ink
Accessories: Kind Thoughts Brocade decor stencil, stencil brush, Big Shot, Lots of Tags Sizzlits, gold brads, Kraft taffeta ribbon

Happy Birthday Flowers

I had a little time to stamp this morning and I was able to create a card for the Clean and Simple challenge on Splitcoast (create a square card), and I used the colors from this week's color challenge: Basic Gray, Crushed Curry and Always Artichoke.
I've wanted to use this set (For All You Do) for some time, but haven't had a chance to play with it. These challenges were a lot of fun and I have to admit that I LOVE the finished product! :) You wouldn't think this color combination could be bright and springy, but it really is! I love using those little Kisses Love Notes - they are so dainty and delicate, and easy to use - no cutting required (yay!). I pulled the card together with a little swatch of Sweet Pea dsp and some Button Late buttons. I'll be back tomorrow with another card to share - see you then!

Stamps: For All You Do, On Your Birthday
Paper: Crushed Curry, Whisper White, Basic Gray, Sweet Pea dsp pack
Ink: Always Artichoke, Crushed Curry
Accessories: Kisses Love Notes, Button Late designer buttons, 3/4" circle punch
