Blushing Bride

I can't decide which color I like the best. Which one is your favorite? I'm taking tomorrow off, but I'll be back next week. 'Bye for now!

I had some time to stamp yesterday and I decided to make something just for fun. I haven't done that in quite awhile and I really enjoyed myself. :) I put together two sets of cards using the Beautiful Wings emosslit. Today I'm sharing the first set and you can stop back tomorrow to see set #2.

These were so quick to put together! I had so much fun adding the Basic Rhinestones to the butterflies.

I love how versatile this card can be! I can't wait to show you the other set of cards I made. :) Have a great day!

Cards for a Cause

I've been busy stamping! I made around 60 cards to give to a friend for a fundraiser for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. My friends and I joke about using our stamping for good instead of evil, and in this case it really is a good cause. I am so glad that I can help!

If you want more information about the fundraising event, contact me and I will give you more info on how you can purchase some cards and support JDRF. See you tomorrow!

FTL 113: Fill 'er Up!

Who doesn't need an extra cup o' joe on an early Monday morning? How about three? :) Today's card is my take on this week's Fall to Layout.

I combined Crumb Cake, Early Espresso and Real Red for this creation. Isn't that Tiny Teacup too stinkin' cute? I love it in red... a perfect card for a coffee- (or tea-) loving friend. Have a happy Monday... and don't feel guilty about indulging in that extra cup of coffee. 'Bye for now!

Simple and Shimmery Snowflakes

Does this card look familiar? I created a similar card with a fall theme a few weeks ago. I really liked the layout and wanted to try it with snowflakes.

I used the Level I hostess set from the Holiday Mini, Northern Hearts. The card is made out of Shimmery White cardstock and the shades of blue are Baja Breeze, Marina Mist and Not Quite Navy. I also added a Basic Rhinestone Jewel to the center of each snowflake. As my son would say, easy peasy, lemon squeezy! :) Have a fantastic Friday!

Stamps: Northern Hearts, Short & Sweet
Paper: Shimmery White
Ink: Baja Breeze, Marina Mist, Not Quite Navy
Accessories: Marina Mist satin ribbon, Mat Pack, Paper-Piercing Tool, Basic Rhinestone Jewels

Thoughts and Prayers Sympathy for a Friend

Today's card is a simple and elegant sympathy card for a friend. Thoughts and Prayers is my go-to set for sympathy cards. I used Pear Pizazz and Marina Mist markers to color the image and stamped it onto the Whisper White oval.

I also added some of the Basic Pearls to the centers of the flowers.

It is so hard to make these cards when you know a friend is hurting. I'm going to put a few more of these together to have on hand when the need arises. I'm hoping I won't need another one for a long time.

Stamps: Thoughts and Prayers
Paper: Pear Pizazz, Whisper White, Greenhouse Gala dsp
Ink: Pear Pizazz, Marina Mist
Accessories: Coluzzle, Marina Mist sating ribbon, Basic Pearls Jewels, Mat Pack, Paper-Piercing Tool

Fall Fun Scrapbook Layout

I absolutely love fall - it is truly my favorite time of year. I was really excited to create a layout with these pictures I took a couple of weeks ago. We made this layout at last week's scrapbook class.

The beauty of this layout is that it doesn't require any cropping of the 4"x6" photos! Some days, quick and easy is the name of the game. :) I think my favorite part of the layout is the "fun" letters. I cut the letters out of chipboard and covered them with Riding Hood Red cardstock. Next, I coated the letters with Crystal Effects. They look just like shiny candy apples!

Have a super day!

Stamps: Broadsheet Alphabet
Paper: Pumpkin Pie, Old Olive, More Mustard, Riding Hood Red, Early Espresso, Old Olive dsp
Ink: Pumpkin Pie, Old Olive, Riding Hood Red, Early Espresso
Accessories: Big Shot, Leaves #2 die, Top Note die, Square Lattice embossing folder, Tasteful Trim die, 1 3/8" circle punch, 5/16" Jumbo Brads, hemp twine, corner rounder, chip board, Crystal Effects

Dasher Christmas

Today's creations is another card we made at Christine's workshop last week. I pulled out my long-lost Dasher stamp (good to see you again, buddy) and whipped together this card. I was inspired by a card with a similar layout from Julie Davison's blog.

I made another version for a customer who wants to make a batch of these for Christmas, but doesn't have a Big Shot. This is Dasher 2.0:

I am so ready for the weekend! Anyone else there with me? It's been one of those weeks and I'm really looking forward to some stamping time this weekend. :) Maybe you have some fall fun planned? Last weekend I took some great pictures of my kiddos and I thought you might like to see my cuties, so here you go!

Can't wait to scrap these babies! :) Have a great weekend - see you next week!

Heard from the Heart

I had the pleasure of putting together a workshop for my dear friend Christine last week and this is one of the cards we made.

Christine requested Christmas projects for her workshop and this card is one that would work well for Christmas, but with a simple change of the sentiment, could work for a different occasion as well!

I adore these colors together - Pink Pirouette, Melon Mambo, Old Olive and Tempting Turquoise. Click here to see another card with this color combo. Thanks for stopping by - see you back here soon!

Peaceful Season

Hey there! I have another Christmas card to share with you today - the final installment of the cards we made at this month's stamp-a-stack. This card was designed by my downline, Stacey Campbell.

She used the hostess set Peaceful Season (Level 2, from the Holiday Mini) to create this card. I love how she used the Candy Cane Christmas Specialty dsp on this card - that glitter really sparkles! I also like the way she popped up the globe on the ornament and added a bit Crystal Effects to make it really stand out.

Have you started thinking about Christmas cards yet? It's hard for me to even begin thinking about the holidays when the weather here has felt like summer! But, if I'm going to send hand-made my cards, this year, I better get started. Have a fantastic day!

Stamps: Peaceful Season
Paper: Baja Breeze, Garden Green, Whisper White, Candy Cane Specialty dsp
Ink: Basic Black, Garden Green
Accessories: corner rounder, Crystal Effects, Real Red satin ribbon

Rejoicing in Christmas

Today's Christmas card is elegant and simple, and my very favorite from the last stamp-a-stack. I used the set Rejoicing in Christmas (from the Holiday Mini) to make this card.

I really like the look of the tone-on-tone with the Very Vanilla cardstock. It's hard to see in the picture, but I jazzed it up just a bit by adding Dazzling Diamonds to the centers of the embossed poinsettias. I used Bravo Burgundy as my accent color on this card, but I think any dark, rich color would work. How about Night of Navy, Cherry Cobbler or Soft Suede?

Have a super weekend! Our fall weather this past week has been spectacular, so I'm looking forward to getting outside with my family and enjoying these last few warm days. See you next week!

Stamps: Rejoicing in Christmas
Paper: Very Vanilla, Bravo Burgundy
Ink: Bravo Burgundy
Accessories: Big Shot, Petals-a-Plenty embossing folder, Very Vanilla satin ribbon, Dazzling Diamonds, glue pen, Mat Pack, Paper Piercing Tool

Northern Flurry Christmas

I just love this new embossing folder from the Holiday Mini called Northern Flurry. It is so pretty and when it is used on vellum, it is GORGEOUS! We made this card at the last stamp-a-stack:

I went with Concord Crush for the card base and I stamped my sentiment on Shimmery White cardstock with Concord Crush ink.

Here's another version of the same card, but here I used Basic Gray cardstock. So simple yet so lovely!

I think my favorite part of these cards is the Basic Rinestones and Basic Pearls Jewels. They just add that little somethin' somethin', you know what I mean? Here's a little tip for you, just in case you want to recreate this card at home. I applied my adhesive just in the upper right and left corners of the vellum so that it would be covered up by the ribbon once I tied it around the card front. That way, you can hide any adhesive marks.

That's all I have for you today! Thanks for stopping by for a peek I hope to see you back here soon.

Stamps: All Holidays, Four the Holidays
Paper: Concord Crush, Basic Gray, Shimmery White
Ink: Concord Crush, Basic Black
Accessories: Big Shot, Northern Flurry embossing folder, Extra Large Oval punch, Designer Label punch, Whisper White taffeta ribbon, Basic Rhinestone and Basic Pearl Jewels

What is that lovely designer paper, you ask? Why, it is the Jolly Holiday pack of dsp from the Idea Book and Catalog. I love the colors in the paper - Cherry Cobbler, Old Olive and Very Vanilla. Gorgeous! See you tomorrow with more Christmas eye candy. 'Bye for now!
