Triple Treat Flower Color Challenge

This week's color challenge on Splitcoast is Island Tango Delight, and I decided to play along.

The colors in the challenge are Island Indigo, Tangerine Tango and Daffodil Delight. What a tropical color combination! I decided to pull out my new Triple Treat Flower stamp and put it to good use. I think I know why it is called Triple Treat Flower - because all of the layers work with punches! I didn't have to use my markers or anything! I just stamped this baby in the different ink colors and punched the pieces out accordingly. Here's a closer look:

I used Fall-to-Layout #148 for my layout inspiration. Clean, simple and tropical!

Stamps: Triple Treat Flower, Pursuit of Happiness
Paper: Whisper White, Daffodil Delight, Island Indigo, Tangerine Tango
Ink: Island Indigo, Tangerine Tango, Daffodil Delight
Accessories: Big Shot, Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder, 1 3/4" circle punch, Fancy Flower punch, 5-Petal Flower punch, 1/2" circle punch, Island Indigo ruffled ribbon, Basic Rhinestone

FTL 150: Fabulous Florets

I fell in love with this week's Fall-to-Layout and wanted to give it a try!

I spent some time with my best stampin' gals this weekend and my friend Laurie made a lovely card using this same set and color scheme. Thanks for the inspiration, Laurie! These are not my go-to colors, but I love the way the Certainly Celery works so well with the Tangerine Tango. Gorgeous!

Paper: Certainly Celery, Very Vanilla, Tangerine Tango, Chocolate Chip
Ink: Certainly Celery, Tangerine Tango, Chocolate Chip
Accessories: Big Shot, Houndstooth embossing folder, Mini Brads

Three times the thanks!

I told myself I WAS NOT going to buy this set. Did I really need another set to go with another punch?!? No, no, no, I kept telling myself. And then one of my customers said, "When are we going to make something with that really cute Pretty Postage set?" Well, if it was for a customer, how could I say no?

I actually made this card more than a month ago, hence the retired ribbon, but it is still really cute so I thought I would share it with you today. I love the bright cheery colors, and the stamp and coordinating punch are really fun! Have a great Monday!

Stamps: Pretty Postage
Paper: Whisper White, Brights dsp stack
Ink: Tempting Turquoise, Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie markers
Accessories: Postage Stamp punch, Pumpkin Pie wide grosgrain ribbon (retired)

Bold Blossom Pencil Holder

This was a fun little project we made at a recent birthday party for some fantastic 10 year old girls. They loved the glitter pencils! Target $1 section - gotta love it!

Quick dimensions and directions for the pencil holder: Start with a piece of 11" x 2" cardstock; score at 4" and 4 1/2". Fold up to make a pouch and punch a small opening for the pencils to slip into. Secure top of the pouch with Sticky Strip. Decorate as desired! *Tip* - if you are going to stamp on the background of the pencil holder, it works best if you do your stamping before you create the pencil pocket.

Stamps: Bold Blossom
Paper: Tempting Turquoise, Regal Rose, Whisper White
Ink: Tempting Turquoise, Old Olive
Accessories: 1 3/8" Circle punch, Scallop Circle punch, Whisper White grosgrain ribbon, Basic Rhinestones, pencils, small oval punch (retired)

Kindness Matters...and so does air conditioning!

Oh my word, it is HOT! We are in the midst of a wicked heat wave here in the Midwest, and I am so thankful for our air conditioning. It is so hot, I'm pretty sure I was sweating in the shower this morning! LOL! How about a cool card for your viewing pleasure today? This card comes from my fantastic downline, Stacey Campbell. She prepared this card for our last stamp-a-stack and I just LOVE it! This is probably my favorite new set from the catalog, called Kindness Matters. I can't wait to ink it up, but until then I can gaze at this little beauty.

I hope you are staying cool in your neck of the woods. I'm thinking our day will look something like this: pool, popsicle, more pool, movie in the a/c, more pool, ice cream. Could be worse, right? Have a great day!

A Vintage Doily Birthday

So, doilies are the new big thing.... who knew?!? I do really like this new Delicate Doilies set. The images make lovely backgrounds and work well individually, too. I put several of the doilies together to create this card for this month's stamp-a-stack. I was really happy with the vintage-look of the finished product.

I combined Baja Breeze, Island Indigo, Crumb Cake and Whisper White - a very serene collection of colors. I also put my new Lace Ribbon Border punch to good use - that's what you see peeking over the edge of the card. I topped it all off with a couple of Basic Rhinestones.

Thanks for stopping by today! See you soon!

Paper: Baja Breeze, Whisper White, Island Indigo, Crumb Cake

Array of Sunshine

I fell in love with the Array of Sunshine hostess set and I love how it looks with these new In Colors: Pool Party, Calypso Coral and Lucky Limeade. I was looking through my Idea Book and Catalog, trying to find some inspiration for my stamp-a-stack, when I came across a card on page 110 that I thought was simply lovely. I loosely case'd it for this card, following the layout, but changing the colors and stamp set.

I also wanted to use some of the new Designer Printed Brads - they are just too stinkin' cute! I added a touch of Lucky Limeade ruffled ribbon and called it done. What do you think?

Have you checked out the new hostess plan? It's easier than ever to earn free merchandise and exclusive hostess sets. I'd love to plan a personalized workshop for you and your friends. Contact me to find out more! Have a great day!

Live in the Sunshine!

I'm back, baby! I have been having so much fun playing with all of my new stampin' goodies. There's just something about new stamps, paper, inks and accessories that make me feel like all is right with the world, know what I mean? Today's card is one that we made at my last stamp-a-stack, which was all about products from the new catalog.

I saw this giant Sunflower background stamp, and I knew that I had to have it. I stamped it in Soft Suede ink on Very Vanilla cardstock and added those sweet Daffodil Delight butterflies. I also touched up the center of the sunflower with a few dabs of Gold Lame Smooch Accent Ink. It adds that touch of sparkle that makes the card so pretty. This was definitely one of the favorite cards from last Saturday's class.

I'll be back soon with more to share. 'Bye for now!

Stamps
: Sunflower, Pursuit of Happiness
Paper: Soft Suede, Very Vanilla, Daffodil Delight
Ink: Soft Suede
Accessories: Big Shot, Beautiful Wings embosslit, Gold Lame Smooch Accent Ink, Large Oval punch, Scallop Oval punch, hemp twine

New projects coming soon!

Hello and happy July! I know that I've been away for awhile and I appreciate your patience - really, I do. And thanks so much to those of you who checked in to make sure I was OK. Yes, all is well... just very, very busy. I am always amazed at how transitions like going from the school year to summer vacation can be so time consuming, and that is what has taken most of my time and energy the last several weeks. As much as I love stamping, my kiddos come first, and that's where I've needed to focus my attention. That being said, I am excited to get stamping again, and I NEED to get stamping again, for my own personal well-being. :) I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the new catalog and I can't wait to share some of the fun, new products with you. So, hang in there! I'll be back soon with some goodies for you.
