FMS 23: Prayers for You

I had some time yesterday to put together a card using this week's Freshly Made Sketch.

I'll admit that I had a heck of a time coming up with a card I was happy with. My first two attempts did NOT turn out the way I had hoped, so I moved on to attempt #3. I was finally able to create something worth sharing!

I've been hoarding this gorgeous Mocha Morning specialty designer paper, not wanting to cut into the package because it is just too darn purty! I decided to take the plunge and I'm so glad I did. I pulled the colors for my card directly from the dsp. Here you can see a close-up of those pretty lil' butterflies:

Phew! I haven't had to work this hard at making a card in a long time. Glad that I still got it! ;) Have a super weekend!

Paper: Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla, Basic Black, Mocha Morning Specialty dsp
Ink: Soft Suede, Basic Black

Fresh Vintage Birthday

Here's a beautiful birthday card created with the Sale-a-Bration set Fresh Vintage (by far my fave SAB stamp set). Aren't these colors rich together?

I combined Riding Hood Red, Very Vanilla and Chocolate Chip. When I look at this card, I think of tapestries and brocades. Gorgeous! Have a great day and I'll see you back here soon.

Growing Green Birthday Card

Oh, my stars! Where has the time gone? I apologize for my recent blogging absence, but my family has been under the weather. I'm really hoping that we are on the up-swing! I thought I would share this really simple masculine card with you today. I love a good guy card, and I love it even more when I can throw it together in under 10 minutes!

We made this card at my last stamp-a-stack, which featured birthday cards. Another thing I love about this card? It makes a beautiful "thinking of you" or sympathy card. I like it so much, I think I'll be using this as one of my swaps for the upcoming Milwaukee Regional. I hope you like it, too!

Stamps: Growing Green, Sincere Salutations
Paper: Whisper White, Lucky Limeade
Ink: Lucky Limeade, Basic Black
Accessories: Big Shot, Houndstooth embossing folder, linen thread

Everyday Enchantment Birthday

I'm breaking out my Sale-a-Bration goodies! I do so love this Everyday Enchantment designer paper, and the little matching brads are adorable. Today's card was inspired by the current Freshly Made Sketch.

I really like the way this card turned out, and I managed to stay pretty true to the sketch. Always a good thing when creativity is low on a Monday morning. :) The final card measures 3"x6", for those of you who are wondering.

I'll see you back here soon. 'Bye for now!
