Bold Blossom Thank You

Happy Friday to you! I have yet another bright and cheery card to share with you today, using the Bold Blossom set from the Occasions Mini catalog.

I pulled the colors for this card from the BABW Pawsitively Prints II dsp. I love this combination of So Saffron, Poppy Parade and Tempting Turquoise. I used an old FTL sketch for the layout.

FTL 132: Soft and Subtle Valentine Defined

Today's card is based on this week's Fall to Layout, although I have to admit that I used the sketch pretty loosely. That being said, I do like the way this card turned out. It's so soft and elegant - perfect for a simple wedding or anniversary card.

I've been trying to pull out some of the stamp sets that have been sitting idle on my shelves, and Valentine Defined was one of them. I stamped the flowers with Crumb Cake ink and the sentiment in Soft Suede. I really like the look of the Very Vanilla Seam Binding ribbon - it is kind of sheer and very delicate. It was the perfect touch for this card. Stop back tomorrow for another card using this sketch. 'Bye for now!

Clean and Simple Aviary

I am SO ready for spring, and I think my color choices for the last several projects make that pretty clear. Today's card is no exception! I made this card for this week's Clean and Simple Challenge on Splitcoast. This week we have a sketch challenge, and this is the card I came up with:

I've had this stamp set (Aviary) sitting on my shelf for some time, so I was excited to ink it up yesterday. These colors are so fun and whimsical: Wild Wasabi, Regal Rose, Daffodil Delight, Chocolate Chip and Melon Mambo. I used some of my Sweet Stitches dsp from the Occasions Mini catalog, along with the Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border punch to tie it all together.

Greenhouse Gala Simple Thank You

I was in the mood to make a super quick and simple card yesterday. I put this baby together in less than ten minutes - don't you love cards like that? I was inspired by a sketch in the Paper Crafts Go to Sketches magazine.

The colors in this card are so springy. It's been awhile since I pulled out my Greenhouse Gala dsp, and now I remember how much I like it. This was a great way to use up some scraps I had on hand.

Hi there! Today's card is a special one because I made it for my dad's 70th birthday. We had a little party for him last weekend - he made me promise not to make a "big deal" about his birthday, but you only turn 70 once, right?

I used my Build a Cupcake punch to create my bucket of popcorn - too cute! This punch has so many possibilities!

The movie ticket images are not Stampin' Up!, but they were just perfect for this card, so I had to use them. My dad really liked it!

I also wanted to show you a picture of the cake I made. My dad is an avid golfer and he's looking forward to hitting the links once the weather warms up. I made this cake for him:

He had a little help blowing out the candles from my two cuties.

Birthday Countdown Clipboard

My sweet girl's birthday is coming up at the end of April, and if you know a preschooler and birthdays, you know that it is a BIG deal! Enavi usually begins asking me, "How many days is it until my birthday?" around the end of January, so when I saw the idea for a birthday countdown clipboard, I knew I needed to make one.

This is such a fun little clipboard! The numbers are attached to washers using magnets, so we can easily change the number daily.

I even made a little box to hold the numbers, complete with divider.

Now I need to get to work on one for my son! :)

I am stuck on Band-Aids!

I put together today's card for one of my son's classmates, who recently had surgery. We wanted to send him a little something to let him know that we are thinking of him, and I thought this cute lil' band-aid card was just the thing.

I used the Sale-a-Bration set So Happy for You for my little heart accent and sentiment. I am definitely going to make up a bunch of these to have on hand to send out as "get well" or "thinking of you" cards.

I created my band-aid using punches, and just in case you want to make one of your own, I put together a little tutorial showing you how I made it. Keep reading if you want to see how it's done.

To create the band-aid, I used my Dot, Dot, Dot stamp, Crumb Cake cardstock and Soft Suede ink. You will also need a 1" circle punch, piece of scrap cardstock, trimmer and 1" square punch.

Step 1: Stamp Dot, Dot, Dot in Soft Suede ink on scrap of Crumb Cake cardstock.

Step 2: Trim Dot, Dot, Dot image on all sides and cut into 1" strips. I was able to get two band-aids out of each image.

Step 3: Punch a 1" circle from a contrasting scrap of cardstock.

Step 4: Flip cardstock over so that the stamped side is face down. Place circle near one end and trace the curve of the half circle. Repeat on the other end of the cardstock.

Step 5: Trim along traced curves to create band-aid shape.

Step 6: Punch a 1" square from Crumb Cake scrap. Adhere the square to the center of the band-aid. Add other embellishments as desired.

Engraved Greetings Goes Shabby Chic

Today's card is from this month's stamp-a-stack. We made cards using stamp sets and other products you can receive FREE during Sale-a-Bration. This card features the set Engraved Greetings, which is one of the SAB alternatives, found on the last page of the SAB mini catalog. I love the "shabby chic" quality of this card - it's so vintage and elegant.

This card was inspired by a project I was on Mary Fish's blog, Stampin' Pretty. I used her layout and color selection, but changed up the rest of the card. You can view her original creation by clicking here.

Build a {Scrumptious} Cupcake

I'm back again, with another card featuring the Build a Cupcake punch. Doesn't this cupcake look good enough to eat? Have I mentioned how much I love this punch? It may have something to do with the fact that I also LOVE cupcakes. If I were to open my own bakery, I think my main product would be cupcakes. They are fun, tasty, and small enough that you don't have to share. 'Nuff said!

It is so good to be back, sharing some projects with you! Did you miss me? While my craft room is still a work in progress, I have at least made a little spot where I can do some stamping, and that makes me incredibly happy. It's all about the little things, right?

Speaking of little things, isn't this lil' cupcake the CUTEST? I fell in the love with the Build a Cupcake punch when I first saw it and I've been having lots of fun with it. I was inspired by a sketch I found in a Paper Crafts magazine called Go To Sketches, which is how this card came to be.

I love the bright, happy colors in the Ice Cream Parlor dsp pack, which you can get for free with a $50 order until the end of March. Oh, how I LOVE free goodies! :)
