CAS38 - Ways to Use It: Brads or Eyelets

Hello, all! I'm back in action after a CRAZY week last week - sorry about the absence here on the blog, but life kind of interrupted! We had family visiting for most of the week, and I had lots of kids around. We had tons of fun and my kids were so sad to see their cousins go home. We were out of town over the weekend, attending a family wedding, but now I'm back and settling in for a *relatively* normal week (as normal as it gets around here). :)

This week's CAS challenge on Splitcoast is to use brads or eyelets. I chose to use to brads, since I'm kind of brad fanatic (would that make me a bradanatic?). I like to hoard them, so this was a good challenge for me. I made myself use LOTS of them on this card. :)

I used my Starring You stamp set to create the star border and the birthday star embellishment. To create the line of brads, I used my Mat Pack with the piercing guide for perfect placement - easy peasy! This would make a quick and simple children's birthday card - I love the bright and cheery colors (Real Red, Tempting Turquoise, Green Galore and Whisper White).

Stamps: Starring You
Paper: Real Red, Whisper White, Tempting Turquoise
Ink: Real Red
Accessories: Coluzzle, Scallops #2 die, Big Shot, Bold Brights Brads, Mat Pack, Paper-Piercing Tool, Real Red Polka-Dot Grosgrain Ribbon
